About Me

My name is Jess. I grew up in a rural New England town on a farm with a great family and a myriad of interesting animals. In my late twenties, I still live at home and am ardently pursuing the next step in my life - whatever it may be.

I've always dreamed of traveling the world, experiencing amazing-extraordinary-wonderful-and-maybe-even-awkward moments and doing fulfilling things. I've also always loved writing so I've decided to start this blog and document my wonders, thoughts and musings through my travels, experiences and life.

So this is my first official blog post....I've been hesitant for a while...blogger...sounded like someone who burped and spoke at the same time - you know, that weird noise that comes out when a surprise burp interrupts your conversation like a warped bugle horn?

It seems like every day, a new social platform emerges and I find myself drawn deeper and deeper into it until I realize I've spent 80% or more of my waking hours in front of a screen. But I'm thinking maybe I just need to allocate time better and reinvest in more fruitful online endeavors - like exercising my writing skills, expressing my thoughts, maybe even enlightening someone...maybe.

That's why I started this blog - I think I'm in my prime blogging age - late twenties, still living at home, painstakingly pursuing the next chapter - whether it be enhancing my career, getting married or going back to school.

I'm not tech-savvy - no. If technology were a language, I'd put myself at conversational...at best. So here goes.
